50 shades of Woman
METRO FM held an exclusive afternoon of magical music, spirituality, pampering topped with good food. The I am Women Experience event took place on Saturday, 25th August 2012, at the Turbine Hall in Newtown. This Year's theme was '50 Shades of Women'.
To kick off the event the audience was serenaded by musicians Nothende belting songs from her latest album Love Light as well as Kabomu and Donald.
Giving a brief description of why this event took place, METRO FM Marketing Manager Kina Nhlengethwa, said that it is an event to rejoice in your womanhood, spoil yourself, uplifting your mood and enrich your soul. "Let's face it women, we have everything under control but always seem to forget that we are worth so much."
Sponsoring the event was none other than one of the most impressive brands, Elizabeth Arden. A representative from the company Ms .Praveshini Govender, stated that as women, looking beautiful and glamorous is what we live for. "We at Elizabeth Arden believe that beauty should not be a veneer of makeup, but an intelligent cooperation between science and nature in order to develop a woman's finest natural assets", she said before inviting the women to fix their eyes on the Elizabeth Arden exhibition.
To seal off the event a ladies night only after-party was the place to be as women danced to the sensational sounds from the Naked DJ, Lulo Café, T-deep as well as Dj Zeal.
Master of Ceremonies was the vivacious radio and television personality Minnie Dlamini who kept the audience entertained.
